So it's time for a road trip for meeee... Backstory: my brother lives in LA...has been there for over a year and a half, and is getting work but barely paying bills, so he's moving back to CT for a couple of months to save up money, then moving back to CA in Dec/Jan. Last night I booked my flight to CA...am officially leaving late on the 30th, layover in DC, then getting to LAX around 1, and back to my brother's apt at 2am. Going to meet with a client on the 1st (never met her, very excited) then see the sights, do some hiking, etc. Leaving at the ass-crack of dawn on the 2nd, homeward bound. This is what we'll be driving: And this is our route, mostly: maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=5719+camellia+ave+north+hollywood+ca+91601+to+61+troutwood+drive,+new+hartford,+ct&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=39.099308,79.013672&ie=UTF8&ll=37.996163,-95.712891&spn=38.661932,79.013672&t=h&z=4 Should be a blast...and I'll finally be able to drive in that elusive state of Nebraska: Going to (of course) have a page up to show where we are and pictures along the way etc.

Fantastic!
Please take a little advice from some one who's driven long distances with full-size trucks.
1- Keep windshield and lights clean 2- Keep air pressure above 38 psi in all tires (cold) 3- Keep lights on (seriously) 4- Enjoy the ride! 5- Jumper cables and extra fluids (since you'll have the room)
Google Latitude please. Send me your e-mail so I can "friend" you.
You are welcome to stop for a meal and a rest when you are in the Buffalo, NY area (hint: use the 90 thru Erie, PA and Buffalo, NY, crossing the belt of PA is not fun w/construction). Let me know and the door will be open.
Cheers!

The trip should be a blast with exception of the plains states (i.e., ...cornfield, cornfield, another cornfield and not a hill in sight, just long, straight road). Just make sure you switch drivers frequently and don't overdo it.

don't forget in those corn field, states, you mark you location by the grain elevators...
Do be safe, and have a fun drive.
