Caught this from Autoblog. I'm pretty amazed that the vinyl was that cheap. www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=376442Anyone know where to get the vinyl? If it really is that cheap I would be very interested in this for this years rally. I'm not sure i would keep it on for an extended time but would be a nice bug\rock shield.

That's intesting. I pay about $88 a roll for 50 ft x 24 vinyl.

Me being one of them. forums.yuppieracing.net/showthread.php?p=169602#post169602I read through every page(13 at the time) and read alot of warnings. Does have me worried to pull the trigger but i would likely only have it on for maybe a month for the rally. When i looked into this last year i couldnt believe how much it cost and dropped it. If i could get it cheap enough to be a worth while bug\rock shield i wouldn't mind putting in the time to try it out. Would be fun to see what it looks like in a different color.

I worked doing vinyl graphics for 9 years and to be 100% honest, I wouldn't do a full wrap with a roll of vinyl. Wrap vinyl is not the same. The glue is different.
Unless you plan to paint your car after you pull it off I wouldn't chance it. There is a really good chance that you will pull up some clear with it. There is just way too much surface area you will be covering. Roll vinyl is made for limited area coverage. Even the removable and replacable stuff.
You can however have a wrap printed for you and you can do the application. That will save you a LOT of money. Most of the cost is in the install.

If I did that I'd just F#^! it up. I wouldn't have the patience for it and the car would come out like a package gift wrapped by a 5 year old : P
