Well my girlfriend and I are all signed up and excited to do the event. Thanks to my ol employee for sending me this link to participate. I will be venturing from Machias Maine. So just to get to the rally start we have to drive over 400 miles to get going. We will be heading up thursday. I will be driving my stage 2 2009 wrx. I hope to meet some people to talk about turbo applications because this is the first time i have had AWD turbo. How far does everybody else have to drive to the start? Just gives me an idea how far people are coming for this. So my total will be around 2300 something miles till i get back home.. Thats if the rally ends where it starts. I figured out about $340.00 in gas if I can get 24 miles per gallon. So looking forward to meeting everybody. Is there any other women going so my girlfriend doesn't think she is at a bachelor party.lol

Welcome
Wow, had to Google you town, thats a HIKE. We were near you in Lubec last year for the Sat AM checkpoint. Beautiful spot at sunrise.
There are a few people making the long haul. A team from Canada and a couple from the Maryland area, thats just what i recognize from last year, could be more.
With the addition of the hotel this year there seem to be a lot more wives\girlfriends going.

A'yup... You my friend are IN MAINE! lol wow. That's way cool. I love Maine.
We have people coming from Canada, Maryland, Upstate New York, a possible from South Carolina and another possible from Indiana.
There are a lot of women coming. If you look at the participants list on the website you will see who is coming. She won't feel out of place.
And just so you know, we don't end where we start so that figure is out the window lol.

Yeah I saw the pictures that the rally came to Lubec last year. It is beautiful and out of the way. I just cant stand how our roads in downeast are so rough here. Cant wait for august.

I am really happy that you can make it/I thought to tell you about it. It'll be a great time. Yea roads in downeast aren't so great, but we have a couple good ones around. And dodging potholes is just like driving on a reallllly curvy road.

It could be worse, the guys from Canada last year drove 1,500 miles to get to the rally, did the rally , and then headed all the way back home.

No better way to enjoy your time off than a tour of New England.

I am coming from a different direction than Noah, but I am similarly 27 minutes / 21.6 miles away.
