Seriously. It's illegal for a reason. That's why we have dragways!

That was a HUGE crash. I don't wish this on anyone or any family but if you're stupid enough to play the game you better be ready to pay the price...
This needs to stay on the drag strip...

Absolutely, Dale! That's why last Aug. rally we took everyone to the New England Dragway to get all the "need for speed" out of the way. Everyone who wanted to race was able to and those who didn't want to cheered on the ones who did.

Real bad news there.
Probably a couple of kids racing in traffic.
Those a pretty heavily travelled roads there aren't they?

yes that highway can get pretty backed up...there wasnt any traffic at the time of the accident though. either way, they shouldnt have been going that fast on a public road. there is a time and place for it and you must know your car's limits.

The two drivers were in their upper 20's and lower 30's, one male and one female. The guy had cystic fribrosis and was a recent recipient of a lung transplant... The last I head there wasn't any connection between the two. Could have been a case of road rage, who knows.... Either way these two drivers should have known better.

So an "unknown" cause, possibly road rage, is translated by the media into "street racing"...
I still feel sorry for the families, especially now that their loved ones had to hear they died street racing...
