I am in the process of working out live video broadcasting for the New England Rally.
I need to know how many of you can bring laptops and would like to broadcast video live from your car. We will have the ability to broadcast from 15 cars.
You will need a webcamera. They are cheap from Best Buy.
You will need to power your laptop so your battery won't die. They sell adapters at Best Buy and Radio Shack.
I will supply a mobile wireless internet card.
If you have a laptop and a webcamera that you can bring please post here so I can have a count on who would like to broadcast.
I will update you on details on the conference and how to connect as we get close to teh event. For now I need a count of who would like to participate in broadcasting video.
Update: If you want to keep the mobile wireless internet cards after the really you can. The cards will be free of charge. You only will have to pay for the cost of the service @ $60 per month for unlimited internet access.

Absolutely. I'll make note that you want 1.
So far I think 5 or 6 are spoken for.

Correct. Make sure you have power for your laptop though. I'm sure the battery won't last nearly as long as you will be driving.

Do you have a Reccomended Brand of Webcam?

Not really. You get what you pay for with a web camera. Best buy or circuit city has decent web cameras. You just need some creativity for mounting. I'm going to use a tri-pod in the center of my seats. I'm going to velcro the web camera to it facing forward.

Actually that should work well, but I'd suggest you get a $20-$50 web camera and keep the hand held to take video. The videos we get from participants are always the most intersting.

I have a Laptop, somewhere I have a Webcam, and my laptop has Verizon EVDO Broadband... Now I just need to get a Power Inverter big enough to support this beast as the battery only lasts an hour, and it pulls 200watts of continuous current..
Do you just want the webcams like on the windshield? or pointed in a certain direction?

Slight issue... All of you that say you want to broadcast video have your email address hidden so I can't emil you the invitation to join the conference.
I need email addresses if you want to broadcast.
I have the conference set up and i would like to get the 15 people that will be broadcasting setup.
Either post your email address here or pm it to me.
