I was up in N. Conway today and we took a ride up Hurricane Mt. Road, just outside the town. That road I will never get tired of ....What a Steep, turny, narrow, rolling picture of asphalt perfection. It was also slick today beacuse it rained. Crested the top (heading from N. Conway towards Maine) and here come about 6 cyclists cranking up the backside of this nasty hill several thousand ft high with a 17% grade in spots (I believe I saw that on a sign up there). I'm like DAYUUM. It would be hard to even walk up this thing. The wifes Toyota ECHO (yea, I know, but the engine is still blown on my WRX) was in 1st/2nd gear on the way down to save the brakes and that tiny engine was screaming it's little heart out. Took a left at the bottom of the hill and rode up RT113 into Maine, heading back into White Mt National forest, through some more nice tight and twisties through Evan's Notch and completing the "Fun" part of the ride at RT2 West. That ride was worth every minute of the 4 hour trip to get there!!!!! Even if it was in the ECHO!

I used to love flyin down hurricane mt & the kanga too... I remember a bunch of us in civics used to race down it... I'd be the only one engine braking, and everybody would complain about the noise and tell me to use the brakes... but by the bottom of the hill, everybody else was glazed over, and i'd be pullin away from everybody since i actually still had brakes...

After the rally in August we will most likely do a fall run. I'm considering a north country run. We will most likely do a Saturday/Sunday run during peak foliage season. We will most likely just use VT, NH and ME.
I know a bunch of roads you guys and gals will love. I may do a planned route for you to drive on that run. Who knows...
