2007 New England Rally Fall Run
Saturday morning we gathered at the historic Robert Frost Farm in Derry, NH at 10:00 am.
The New England Rally Fall Run consisted of us (Sean and Karoline, the event coordinators) 3 teams that participated in the August 07 run and 4 teams of new comers to the New England rally, 1 of which was from Ohio (1500 miles away).
Despite the fact that it was raining everyone was happy and ready to cruise the day away.
We started to put the stickers on the vehicles and the rain just started to come down even harder.

After socializing and discussing the route, at 11:00 AM we began to depart on our 450 mile day long cruise through scenic New Hampshire and Vermont.
As we reach the edge of the parking lot we see the Red Bull energy team girls pulling up to us.
We talked to the girls for a few minutes and they gave us all a supply of Red Bull for our trip.

Our first stop was the Stonewall Farm in Keene, NH about 75 miles away for lunch.
We were here for about 1.5 hrs socializing and telling stories of the August run while the new comers asked questions.

Our second stop was Quechee gorge in Quechee, Vermont. About 2 hours away. By this time it was pouring rain and we decided to cut this stop short which is too bad because the gorge is absolutely beautiful.

From Quechee we headed 2 hours away to Harts Turkey Farm in Meredith, New Hampshire for dinner.
The rain did not set up for second.

By this time it’s getting dark, we are all wet and a rest was well needed.
Everyone was ready to relax over a big home cooked turkey meal.
After dinner 4 of the teams headed home while the rest of us went to the beautiful Mount Washington Hotel at the base of Mount Washington in Bretton Woods, NH to spend the evening.
What a gorgeous hotel!

We arrived there around 9 PM. Relaxed for 30 minutes and got ready to hit the resorts adult only costume party. There were a bunch of great costumes and everyone was having a blast.
(Pictures to come)
After a few drinks and a couple of hours of socializing Karoline and I made our way to the room and called it a night.
We woke up around 9:00 AM and headed home. We made our way to the parking lot and we were greeted by SNOW! Not what we want to see at all!
When we hit the highway and made our way to a lower elevation the weather was clear and beautiful. It was a gorgeous 3 hour ride home. It figures that the nice weather would hit the day AFTER our ride.
When all was said and done our day long cruise was 448 miles of winding scenic New England roads.
Despite the rain we had an absolute blast and everyone was friendly and social.
I can't wait until Mid April of 08 when we host a New England Spring ride.
