so i havent been on here for a lil while and noticed some new participants, i got the time off from work approved from my boss now i'm just workin on comin up with the entry fee....i kinda got carried away buying parts for the stang lol...but now i got ported heads, ported and polished intake, holley street avenger 4150 670 cfm carb, msd 6al box with high vibration coil, eliminated almost all of my emissions, bypassed the smog pump and power steering...i'll be relocating the ps pump to where the ac is and getting rid of the ac instead, set up for a 125 shot of nitrous, just needs to be plumbed and secondary fuel pump needs to be put in, have a set of flow tech long tube headers to go on..1 5/8 inch ports with 3 inch collectors, ford racing clutch that i gotta put in still, and i also have a set of eibach sportlines to put in which will give me almost a 2 inch drop all around. anyway i'll hopefully be registering soon, and more then likely with my mom lol. heres what i've been up to though. i had the motor ripped apart and put back together in 3 days...its just been little shit i've had to keep goin back to do

Wow. That's some project. I can't wait to see that thing run. What are you thinking you will do in the 1/4 mile?
That thing must sound so nice and grumbly.

www.mediamax.com/sfkustomz/Hosted/04-25-07_2212.wmvi know its only like 3 seconds but it was taken with a pink cell phone right after i spent 10 minutes wiring the msd up to see if it worked...i had the top end ripped apart and back together in less then 3 days including taking one of those days half off to go party (party was at my house and people kept bringing me drinks into the garage)...after that it was just stupid shit that kept breaking hence the reason why i got to where i am, i figure it broke for a reason so upgrade it and it wont break....after it was put back together i found out that the tensioner was seized (still havent put that in but its on the passenger seat), what i thought was a bad ignition module was actually faulty wiring, i replaced the module and still got no spark then realized i had broken wires so the fix for that was to put an msd set up cuz that meant new wiring, after that it was running and leaking from the thermostat housing and there's 2 ways to get that either take off the water pump (sucks cuz i have a fan clutch) or take off the intake manifold, i went with the intake manifold then found out that the housing was cracked and had to replace it, now in the process of doing that i had to remove the carb and found out that one of the mounting flanges snapped so i had to replace the carb haha...maybe i'm just making excuses but oh well, the n2o kit i've had since january (it was on sale), the springs got sent to my work by accident so i "had" to buy them, the headers i came across from a local guy that decided to go with shorty's rather then long tubes and i picked those up cheap as fuck so i couldnt say no....maybe i'm just making excuses to cover up my problem...as far as quarter mile goes on the bottle i'm expecting a low 13 or high 12 cuz i have a 2.75 rear which sucks for acceleration, however i cant lock up the tires anyway so it doesnt matter.

well i got the bitch back together and running, clutch needs adjustment and for some reason and i cant find where its coming from but i'm leaking oil on the top of the motor...yes on the top, like away from where anything could leak from...it just started today too...i'm actually thinkin about just pulling the whole motor out and rebuilding it this weekend. along with getting rid of everything, like my factory wiring harness....all it does right now is power gauges and half of those dont work right cuz of bad wires, and getting rid of all my vaccum lines except one to the brake booster....i'll figure out tomarrow what i'm gonna do.

Its not your main seal. Those engines have bad problems for leaking oil on the back side of the intake manifold. Did you use the rubber seals? DONT use the rubber seals, use a VERY thick bead of good RTV.

my rear main seal was shot before this started, i had to scrape part of the rubber off for about an hour to get it clean cuz it was baked...i'm probly gonna build a motor for it this summer i'm in the middle of finishing up another project i started last year for my mom so i can get my bike...i'll start a thread on that
