Oh sweet jesus please don't let me get pulled over for the people hanging out the windows again! Cop: Do you know why i pulled you over. Me: No Sir. Cop: We are getting reports of people driving wrecklessly. Me: Yes Sir. I dont doubt that sir. Thats why we are avoiding them. I apologize and will be speaking with the director at the checkpoint. Cop: I'm going to talk to you and not your friend back there (DustyB) because he has a bad attitude.

Yea, that was another bee's nest up in Maine. In RI we were getting pulled over while doing EXACTLY the speed limit. They pulled us (Several of us) because we had rally stickers on our cars and the police said that they had MULTIPLE REPORTS of cars with rally stickers on them driving erratically, speeding, swerving around traffic, hanging out of windows/sunroofs, taking pictures while driving at high speed, etc.... It seemed like Charleston & South Kingston RI had their entire police force out on RT-1 just waiting for us to drive by so they could make EXAMPLES out of us for something we didn't even do. If I'm going to get pulled over I'd at least like it to be for something we actually did as opposed to the sins of someone else.

Ask people from New Jersey about X band. They are the sole reason companies still offer X band detection anymore. It's actually a smart move by NJHP because there are so many falses that people start to ignore the X band. That's when they get you.

Thats pretty cool. Should work for some of the metro area runs but when we start getting into no mans land all cell service goes away.
Found that out during the August rally. We had Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint. Didn't have service on any phones for 3/4 of the trip.
It would be cool if you could load that app on a gps unit like a Garmin or Tom Tom
Edit: Just poked around online. Anyone tried msoft's streets and trips with the GPS receiver? Since it runs locally on the PC you dont need internet service. Not sure if you can log your progress.
