We have a computer in the Z, but it's mostly for music storage and video storage. I have a webcam on the PC that records the front looking view. We have a wireless internet card so we have access to the internet for gps updates, mapquest, and watching Stephen Lynch on youtube lol.

store.mp3car.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=CCC-126&Click=15004man I been kicking this around for a long time, but, I'd have to liquidate some assets to free up the cash to do this.. Sean, How does that wireless stuff actually work?? I know how wireless internet works.. but the stuff I had back in like 02 - 03 had to be line of sight to the tower.. I am sure its probably like a Cell Tower signal now.. but was it reliable?? I tried to watch the webcam feeds from last years rally, but I was working when you guys were rolling.. and the filter blocked it. It would be bad ass, to be able to run Radar detection, GPS, and everything through it.. --Scott

It's great. It works through satellites. It's the sprintpcs wireless card. It works where ever a sprint cell phone works.

i hadn't thought of webcams and streaming video, but yeah, that would be part of it.
since IR cameras and thermal imaging came up, has anyone thought about mounting an IR security cam on their bumper? most are 12v, and a few of the mid value ones have a range of about 200ft. i don't know how effective it would be, but for the $300 it would cost for a camera and monitor, it wouldn't be expensive at all to try.

haha That's great!. I think I'm going to get one as well.
Sirswank, I was thinking the same thing. I've seen some decent security cameras that had me thinking. I'm wondering how well they would work.
I would actually think that you would need 1000' or more.
Scott, Check ebay for carputer or in car computer. I got mine for $300.00 with a touch screen monitor that costs $350.00 included. All I needed to get was a power inverter.

There is nothing illegal about parking sensors in any of the US states Laser jammers are illegal in a few of the US states, but none of the New England states.

I'm installing the jammers today. I think I am going to put both jammers up front because there is no trunk mounting locations. I will follow up with pictures later!

1) I don't know about this model but with the Escort jammer, the rear mounts to the top of the rear liscense plate frame using the two upper srew mounts. Then the wiring follows the same path as the rear plate light. 2) Every time I've been hit with laser so far it's been on the rear plate area.
Good luck with it, hopefully you won't have to use it too often but it's nice to have when you need it. : )

I'm watching ebay for a radioshack pro-96. I saw one the other day go for $250, but I was broke lol. I have a non digital one, but I am finding that digital is needed now so I'm going to pick one up before the run. Digital with close call feature will be nice.

2x Custom Amber & White Visor Strobes Custom Amber & White Grill Strobes Headlight & Tail Light Strobes What do you need strobes for? I doubt anyone will move out of the way for them (unless it's at night and distracting them), and while I don't see amber getting you in trouble, some states might have issue with white strobes. The ones on the front of my truck were originally white, but I shelled out $100 for amber tubes just to keep myself out of trouble. If you're determined to get them though and haven't already purchased them, check out the CopStick (www.copstick.com). They have all colors and sizes. I'm looking to pick up one in a couple months. Just don't get caught using colored ones illegally, they don't take kindly to that.
