i'd trade mine for an '03-'04 2.3L and it would have an all cosworth engine. but alas, i'm stuck with 2.0L of zetec. i'll make due. i bought this car because it was a 'world car' and it's essentially a (cheap) european wolf in american sheeps clothing. but then bill ford took the company down a stupid, stupid path which resulted in the '08 focus abomination (and untold money hemorrhage) thankfully allan mulally is a smart businessman who realizes - if it ain't broke - don't waste millions of dollars 'fixing' it. he's committed to the 2010 focus being a 'world car' and the 09-10 fiesta being a 'world car' that is, as identical as possible all over the planet. we'll see. i think i'd like a fiesta actually. who knows. back to the GPS thing - this thing is kinda weird. when you get away from the 'major metropolitan areas' it can be sketchy. i hope it 'learns' a lot more. i do like the Yahoo! Local searches right from the device tho, that's the shizz.

Ok, I am just used to the Jackson Racing Supercharger on those I guess, I knew 2 people with that setup back in Wisconsin.
They were fun nimble cars. I would never knock any car...
But then again, I don't even have an avatar... Oh Well...

i don't know if other GPS units do this, but man does this one want to fight tooth and nail to get you onto a numbered highway. it doesn't matter if it goes out of your way -- it always tries to steer you back to a road with a rt #.
coming back through vermont today, i took a sidestreet that took me, literally, directly to my destination, and it kept wanting me to turn off back to VT 9 and go around on 5.
other than that though, i've been loving this thing. it IS a bit unwieldy however, it's got GPS, Cell and WiFi antennas in it so the unit itself is enormous. like not fit into a pocket enormous.

I use a garmin nuvi 760 hard mounted and wired with a Kuda mount. It came out great, i'll take some pics during lunch and post them up.

I remember seeing an old MINI that Dentsport garage put a motorcycle engine into. That thing screamed!

I think it was VOD cars that had a video of a BMW Isetta with a Hayabusa engine in it. I think that is probably more dangerous than the bike.

Dash just added "search along route" to their GPS. they say it works with points found in yahoo local, but they don't explicitly say it works with 3rd party services (like trapster). i will try it out and report back.

ah, okay. as i suspected, Dash will only find stuff along your route that it looks up in Yahoo. not the KML feeds i loaded recently or even it's built in POIs like Gas, Rest Areas, etc. so i can't recommend it right now for your purposes.
