the car was from the bronx most of its life...what happened to the quarter panel? probably a drunk bum lol...no idea, bought it completely stock with all the dents.
and the paint came off with my #30 sticker i had from last years rally. the other side had been repainted and came off fine at least.

hmm should not have taken off the paint. Although they were on for almost a year and you did say it was the original paint on that side? Did you take them off when the car was warm? Removing stickers in the cold is a bad idea.
I can't stress enough to people that a coat of wax a few days before applying stickers is a good idea.
Not to worry though I'm ordering the repositionable vinyl next week. It's even lighter than the stuff we used last year. The stuff we used last year was removable vinyl and should have come off with ease. Well, Maybe not if you leave them on for a year. Was the number the only spot with an issue? I don't remember hearing of any issues with the stickers from last August.

h Not to worry though I'm ordering the repositionable vinyl next week. It's even lighter than the stuff we used last year. hmm lighter vinyls that must free up like 5 hp per sticker...?

Nah you only get more hp from the the NOS stickers and they are banned from the NER.

and yes it was warm the other day taking them off, and i waxed the car a couple days before the rally...oh well.

Well I guess I have to suggest to people that the don't leave them on for a year lol. I'm curious how mine will come off. They have been on from last year as well. I'm going to change them for the spring run so we will see how mine turns out in another week or so.

Car looks great. I didn't see any paint missing (eyes closed). You really have an eye for the camera. Those shots are great.

I left my stickers on for a long time too. I waited till a nice hot day and let the car sit in the sun for a while and then started pulling them off. I did lay on a thick coat of wax before the Rally too. I didnt have any issues with the paint...and its the original 20 year old paint. I am thinking about respraying the car this summer though, so we shall see how thats holds up.
