As today was the last court day for my tickets the asshole judge has crushed my black celica. This is very upsetting because i loved that car very much but what can i do. the judge threw the book at the car and not at me and with loosing 5 of the 6 tickets and still have no points from them i can't really complain. It was a perfect car when it was done and I'm going to miss it but I have a new plan that might not be done by august but will be done for future rally's... ask only if u want to know

i know certain municipalities are cracking down on "street racing" by impounding and crushing cars (made big news in toronto CA when they did this). damn. 6 tickets tho would be like not getting your license back for a decade, maybe even going to jail.

the reason it's being destroyed is i went threw a hell of a lot of welding and modification to make this thing "legal" it is a right hand drive car converted to left hand drive. to make it legal i stole vin plates off a wrecked one and posted them on there and called it a rebuild. when i was charged with this i said i bought it that way from a 3rd party vendor in cali to cover my ass

Wow, sorry to hear about the car, I am surprised they didn't just sell it off to benefit the local police station.

What were you thinking....... and to implicate a 3rd party is just awful.

wow orange ss thanks for pointing that part out i must have missed how dumb that was to blame a third party and to steal a vin plate off of another car! i mean really it is not that hard to get a RHD car registered here in the states it takes more time than anything!

it's actually very hard here, it's almost impossible. PA laws suck on this type of thing. and vin theft is not to uncommon. do u no how many skylines there are with 240sx vins?

Just tell them you work for the post office, they're allowed right hand drive...

I know of and am actually thinking of buying an R33 skyline. This does not have a 240 vin. I know of several imported cars that are done legit, and appropriately. All this stuff takes time, and working with people.

I drove 2 RHD Skylines in Washington state while I lived there. They were completely legal. No reason to steal vin plates. You should consider yourself lucky that you DIDN'T go to jail. I'm really surprised they just crushed the car. I don't have any sympathy for something this dumb. Sorry to be so blunt, as a newbie, but just my feeling on it.

Yeah they are legal. They even sold the LHD GT-Four over here for awhile.
A few years ago before I picked up my old Lexus and old project 911, I was looking into importing a R33 GTR. I ended up finding a GTS-T for a good price, but decided not to go through with it. I was kind of scared of the laws over here, then I ended up reasearching everything and found out it was legal. I could kill myself for that move, but maybe it paid off because murphys law is wicked when it comes to things like that.
Also welcome aboard dizzle!
