If I have a big enough sponsor they can put their name on my car, they can paint the car any color they want, they can do ANYTHING they want as long as I get some $$$$$$$$$

I'd love to see Dmitry in the Targa. That would rock.
It would be even better with a pink hello kitty theme evo LOL

I cant do a TON of cash, but i will definitely be in to do this. And I'm in for the VT rally too Nov1.. Got money set aside already. Just let me know where to be and when...

I'll up the ante even more. Given enough notice I'll get an enclosed trailer and a hauler to get the car and equipment up there. I'll even drive.

I'd call pit crew as well, but there is absolutely no way I could go there and not enter.
Hmmmmmm maybe the hauler will fit a 300zx as well?
I bet if we get 2-3-4 cars to enter we could get a nice discount.

And do they offer 93 octane in the area?
You are looking at roughly the same gas used as the 07 NER to get there, while you are there and then again to get home.
So figure out how much you spent in 07 on the NER and multiply x 3. Then add a little more for the fact that you will be driving harder while on the event than you drive on the NER. So to be safe figure 3.5 times the gas spent in 07.
I think we spene 300-400 in 07 on gas in the Z.

Well I hope I can tow the car over there and tow it back, and on the way back I hope the car is drivable. I also like the idea that you can only have six tires for the whole rally, 4 on the car and 2 spares. skimobile is right, this is a very very very long rally and you only allowed to have 6 tires all together when you go all out for 1320 miles, you would have to take your time and do some research on which stage you can really push it and which one you should hold back a little and save the tires.

I wonder how much gas will be to tow the car up there and back.

I wonder how much gas will be to tow the car up there and back. My hauler is a Dodge dualie w/a Cummins. Averaging 10-14 mpg with an enclosed trailer w/drag car and half a spare car in parts. I'd cover fuel up and back w/the hauler. Can we camp at the event or nearby? Gas during the rally is the driver (sorry D). Food and stuff is everyone. In a pinch we can sleep in the hauler on cots or air mattresses. I've done it, it's not horrible but not great either. Let's start something off the forum and work this out. With 4-5 guys (and gals) we should be able to put something together. Start thinking sponsors!!!!

By the sounds of it I may be forced to put together the New England Rally Targa Team. If there is enough interest I don't mind throwing in some money and doing some leg work.
If we have enough serious interest we can sit down together and find out the levels of interest. I'm sure we have enough contacts and ambition that we can get some decent sponsors.

I know Mitsubishi Canada sponsored at least two cars this year and they want to give SUBARU more grass-roots competition in 09 so I'm hoping they come through with some contingency money for you.
