This video is from 1998 The quality for the 1st 15 seconds sux but then it clears up. Full-on rally speeds from bottom to the top of the MT Washington Auto Road. Having driven this road at what I thought was a pretty fast speed before...all I can say is WOW! www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NE-Vsg2b38&feature=related

That was crazy. It's not so bad at the bottom, but once you start getting up 2/3 of the way it gets hairy. At that speed it would be a blast lol.

And to this day, he still holds the record Another famous climb is the one that Ari Vatanen did in 1989 in Pikes Peak using a Peugeot 405 T16. This run is interesting for two reasons: The record lasted for more than 10 years and The run was not at all what you would call smooth. In a matter of fact, he is all over the road. Can you imagine what the time would have been had he had a good run? www.metacafe.com/watch/123742/ari_vatanen_pikes_peak_1989_peugeot_climb_dance/This video is from 1998...
