$20k entry fee "IF" you're accepted....holy crap! For that kind of $ you could do the week long Targa Newfoundland and still have $14k left over for car repairs/upgrades. And that's for flat out tarmac racing on closed city/town roads...all legal like, and no cops to give you tickets.

Some day I would like to do the targa. That does look like a lot of fun.
I do like that the Bullrun is going from NY to TX. That plus coming home would not be a bad ride. It would be like a trip cross country, but 20k plus expenses... That's not possible for me. As for getting in,That would not be a problem. If you have the 20k for entry fee they won't turn you down.

Yeah, I am a bit "put-off" that it's $20K to play and you have to be approved.
I am sure $40K wouldn't get me in as my coolness factor is very overshadowed by my dork-factor.
Anyhow, NER is less $, much better folks (celeb.'s wouldn't talk to me anyway), and just as fun (where else can you stir up an entire state police force but in ME?).
Go NER 2009!!!!

Go NER 2009!!!! lol they're not real celebs anyway for instance(this is from their site): 'Seriously, the best week of my life' - Dennis Rodman (who cares what he thinks? he's a sell out freak who can't play basketball...) ''It's the one thing I look forward to every single year' - Hayden Christensen, Actor, Star Wars (He's a crappy actor who hasn't done a damn thing really since messing up Star Wars...) But this is what kills me: 'Bullrun is hot!' - Paris Hilton... Paris Hilton is endorcing a rally? come on now we're so much better than Paris Hilton! Seriously..... I didn't think she knew how to drive I thought she paid someone for that?

I just heard fom the casting director for the Bullrun show. Nothing official yet, but Karoline and I may have a chance to be on Season 2!!! WOOT! Now I need to figure out how to come up with $3000.00 to replace my engine before the end of November. Unless someone has a worthy car to lend us

They want you on Season 2... If you come up with the $$$ for the entry fee... right? EDIT: I could probably get my dad to pony up the cash for this and do it as father/son... But I dont know if we would make it or not.. He's not the best driver... Although he's usually pretty good with directions...

DUDE! Are you F-N kidding? That's awesome! Nice to see some good things come your way!!!! BTW, $3k for an engine is pretty good. How about going to a dealership and asking for an "extended" test drive. If my car wasn't down and out awaiting for a new tranny you could have used mine. IT looks like she'll be down untill income tax comes in. Its going to be about $6k for tranny and driveline upgrades to handle the engines current torque #'s.

The show is... well... a show on spiketv lol. It's challenges and rally mixed in. Do a search for bullrun seasin 1 on spike and watch it. Ouch Sean! That car is a small fortune investment isn't it? Thanks for the offer Dale, but a mustang don't handle like I need for this show. I need the Z lol. There are challenges that really rely a lot on the handling of the car and a mustang don't handle like a Z. Although if we get stuck I can't be too picky can I lol It's not like I can say no to being on teh show. I know there was a 250k 1st place prize last year and if I remember correctly it will be more this year with more prizes and everyone will get paid for participating this season. So it should be a blast. I gotta work some miracles because there is no way the Z would make the trip with the way I'd have to drive.

Check also to see how much time you need off work. (4 weeks?, 6 weeks?) I believe that ALL particiants must not only travel out west for indoctrination/orientation but also continue to the end even if they get dropped after any of the challenges. That way the winners don't get leaked out till the end. I'm sure I'm probably telling you something you already know however....

Ya it would be about 3.5 weeks off total. It's a long time to be away, but I'd make it work some how lol.

Well last I checked Eric hadn't heard anything from that dude in North Carolina for the front clip. So if you're still interested give him a call sometimes soon, cause It's been a few weeks since he last heard from the guy. Then you could have a twin turbo for the show :]
