With Alex Roy's book on the shelves and a feature documentary soon to follow....How do you think the mainstream in the US will react to are little "roadtrips"? Will it bring a positive influx of people or a negative spotlight on our fun? just something to think/talk about.......cheers

well lets look at something smaller, Street racing. Thats where i started and still do it once and a while. Now most citys and states around here are craking down and having new enforcement teams just for that reason. but now you look at how offten does a rally go on compared to street racing. i beleave its the people who do it and how they do it that deside on how other people look at this sport. or anything at that matter.

To be honest, it all depends on how the people at the front of the pack treat the others on the road. If they drive like they own the road I'm sure i will be getting another call about our events. Too many calls and they will shut us down.

Yeah driving crazy like Kimble does is nuts. I always said "If you cant drive slow, you have no business driving fast".
If you cant follow the basic rules of the road and cut people off or make a dash into the other lane forcing the other motorists to brake hard. Not only does that give us a bad name and put yourself and others in danger, but it ruins it for the rest of us.
If your going to rip down the road at 100+MPH, then follow basic rules and be mannerly to the other motorists. Allow them plenty of time to get out of the way.

In the August run I had one guy passing me in the breakdown lane and swinging on over to on ramps several times to get by/around traffic ahead on the way to the 1st checkpoint. I don't mind driving fast but that is just asking for trouble. As far as publicity goes, Lets think about how great The Fast & Furious was for the street racing scene
