OK so i got the CB in and also The new Trunk IV scanner in the car. With too wips off the back bumper. pic will be up tomarrow scanner works great i picked up calls threw out the state with the set up i went with. Just to let every one know to make things work well you cant use a CB wip for a scanner and just the opposite applys. the antenas arent designed to do that. found this out shoping for antenas

Nice. CBs are fun. Scanners are even more fun lol. I need a good digital scanner, but that won't happen any time soon.

Yeah, I discovered that CB uses an 11 meter band, and common CB whip antennas are 1/4 wave, which is 104". Scanners use a few different bands, but they're all shorter/higher than CB, so you need a shorter antena for higher frequencies.
So what scanner antenna did you wind up going with?

ya testing this scanner out the past few days just driving around twon i am hearing cop 45mins out from where i am so ya good shit and its worth the 606 and change for the scanner and a few other suplys needed to install
