Hey, I really am looking forward to joining you all on this NER rally, How much must be paid by when? Also is GPS alowed or is it all maps?
If I do end up joining i'll be running my Jeep Commander not my 240sx, I think i'll get pulled over to much in that lol. But I do have some mods on the jeep.

GPS, radar, laser, etc.. are all welcome (and recommended).
There's no extra points for counter-measures but lot's of ooohhh/aaaahhh envy.

First off, Welcome
Considering the cars on the rally, I don't think you would have any issues with the 240, they are fun cars, I have built 2.
I think that contermeasures are a good thing, but remember they don't stop you from getting tickets etc, as some here may be able to attest to.

Escort Passport radar detector Escort laser scrambler ...still ended up with 2 really large tickets in 4 hours driving. others who blew past at much higher speed never got even one during the whole rally.... sometimes your luck just runs out.

Yeah... I was driving the evo and dusty was driving my car... But thanks to me being polite (And calming the cop down after dusty pissed him off), we got let off... We weren't doing anything either.. We were just getting nailed because some certain yellow cars were driving like asshats...

GUILT by association : ( I believe the Grey EVO had a little to do with that one as well. We were also doing EXACTLY the speed limit in Charleston / S. Kingston RI (because I KNOW how bad they are there), and the BIMMER right behind me still got pulled for no good reason and let go because they were looking for the others ahead of us.

"others ahead of us" would be our group that stirred up the bees nest with a shotgun... Not my proudest moment...

Not enough to give a ticket but if he wanted to he could have gone over your car with a fine tooth comb to see if there was anything illegal (ride height, exhaust, tint, front plate, etc...) ....I take that back. He can do what he wants. If you fight it they will throw it out but if you dont then its $$$ in the states pocket. I got pulled over this past weekend on my way home from a western MA to Vermont run. I guess a few people that were victims of some "questionable" passes called in and reported us. About 5 miles up the road a MA statie got us and said he couldn't do anything to us for just reports and said to keep it under 70. I dont have my front plate on yet so i was hoping he didnt do a walk around.

You don't need a front plate in Mass so he won't even check that. NH would ticket you for it though,

In MA if you have a green letter plate(no longer given out) you are not required to have a front plate. If you have a red lettered plate then you are required(thats why they give you 2). Technically you are not supposed to pass state inspection without a front plate if you have the new style(red). I been going to the same local guy for years. Dont think he has ever checked.

I moved away from Mass in 95 so It's been a long time since I got a plate there lol. I just remember that we used to get 1 plate when I lived there.
I was raised in Salem so I had a few cars registered in Ma. I thought it was odd that we needed 2 plates when I moved to NH. I only put one on and found out real fast that you need 2. If I remember correctly it was a $50 ticket.

Yeah, not sure if i really want to find out. I heard its the same in MA.
Anyone know if a ticket for missing plate is considered a moving violation, like an expired inspection sticker?
In MA if you get a ticket for an expired sticker then it hits your insurance as well. Which is what really hurts.
$50 ticket for expired sticker + $$$$ added to your insurance. Sucks pretty bad for a stupid sticker.
