I was there last year. I won a set of HIDs. They worked well for the rally. I should be there this year as well.

That's a little too far away from me. How good are those guys? I'm looking for a Cobb Accessport and everyone is selling them for about $995, do you think they would give me a better deal? Who should I talk to over there?

Who should I talk to over there? These guys are the cheapest I've seen for COBB Accessport. Joe and Dan at the following website. COBB Accessport + Walbro fuel pump = $725. www.subimods.com

Yeah, the best pricing for Cobb AP's is pretty much subimods... They even get in trouble some for how cheap they sell them... EDIT: Then if you are looking for the full tune, head to EFI Logics in Bethel CT. They are the best around.

I didn't see a Cobb AP for a Nissan on http://www.subimods.com; so I guess that I'll just call those guys and see what kind of deal they can get me on one. Thanks guys.

Another question, who would be the person to call at Synaptic-3 as I'm looking at Schroth harnesses as they are listed as a dealer? Maybe I'll get a better deal for buying the Cobb and the harnesses from the same place.

At Synaptic-3 the person to talk to would be Dana, who is the owner, or his senior guy would be Ron. Dana is the guy I bought my Schroth harnesses from,

Thank you and I'll let you know how it goes. Next I need to call Dave (RS4) to see if he can hook me up with Ai Design as they want $3500 to install a Passport 9500ci. I know they do good work, but goddamn $2000 just for installation is steep.

If you want somebody for good audio/video installations, i can hook you up with my friend's shop in CT, High Fidelity Autosport. They have done alot of radar/jammer installs on Audi R8's, S8's, Porsche 993,996, and 997s, m5's, cayennes, etc... And I HIGHLY doubt they would charge you $2000 for install...

That price is rediculous. My Escort radar jammer/scrambler install was $100 for front and rear protection.

Now add infer red cam and screen and install of Bearcat in head liner and a few other things too all installed by them what you think is the price?

Yeah, there is no question that their work is top notch, and they go to lengths that are truely custom. Justifying that on the other hand is the issue. If you look at their website www.aidesign.com they did an M3 like mine (in the recent section) where the install is slick and the display is hidden behind the glass in the rearview mirror. On the other hand they don't do that for the Nissan GT-R (in the archived, misc section). For the GT-R they just cut out some of the mirror and put the display there. My conclusion: It might be worth it to have them install the unit in my M3, but I'll probably get someone else to install a 9500ci in the GT-R.
