Here are the checkpoint locations for the 2009 New England Rally. Google Maps Checkpoint Locations: tinyurl.com/2009NewEnglandRallyGoogle Maps Route: (From E to F is a road called Hurricane Mountain Road. It is listed on most maps maps as an unpassable road because It's a seriously crazy roller coaster ride of a road. Google has it listed as a dead end, but it's not.) tinyurl.com/2009NewEnglandRallyRouteWhat was your favorite checkpoint other than the hotel?

Riding rt1 and watching the sunrise was one of my favorite segments. After riding in the rain and the wet night before, it was a relief and just beautiful to sit there and enjoy the sunrise into a clear sky. The colors were absolutely amazing!

Maine is by far the most incredible place to watch the sun rise. The high elevation and clean air makes for some painting like sun rises and sunsets.

My favorite road had to be the freshly paved section in the northern part of NH... what was that... 145? Yeah, 145 was great with the fresh pavement. Our car and Dale's car got to go at it twice. Once when it was a bit damp on the way in and the a second time on the way out. Great spot!

I actually thought that the lake checkpoint was kinda evil. Not only are you dodging moose on the way in, but finding the lake was a 50/50 shot first try. Lubec.... Ok.. THAT was evil lol.

LUBEC, EVIL? TRY geting there at 8:15 AM (while having to pee since 6:00AM) and finding NOTHING in town or any surrounding area open at that hour, staying at the checkpoint till 10:45, and no bathroom : ) You are EVIL! ( but I loved it anyway)

There was a bathroom down the street a little ways in Lubec @ a store lol...
I loved 145...just wish I was driving instead of my co-driver, but I was very pleased to see that most of the roads were in very good shape (made my drive less stressful not worring about ripping my oil pan off haha)

I liked the whole driving experience on the Maine backroads,... windy, undulating, poilce free stretches of asphalt heaven! I liked all the back roads actually, except the usual (where did the pavement go) RT-2 Maine to VT road. When Dusty and I got off RT2 in VT and onto RT15 that road was great : )

I think Rt 2 may have been involved in Dusty's rim / flat tire issue... Not sure, just a suspicion though.

I think it was cracked before the rally, and the rally just finished it off...
